I started on sertraline with 50mg the first week, then I was increased to 100mg for the past 3 weeks. I still have increased anxiety and increased depression as side effects. Sometimes I feel that we should have gone slower and stay on 50mg a bit longer before jumping on 100mg….. Now, what if I continue to feel this way, will they increase the dose again or decrease to perhaps 75mg? I’m planning on sticking with the 100mg at least one more week or two and ride the horrible increased anxiety and depression. I keep telling myself that this shall pass and it will work. Anybody with a similar experience or suggestion?
Will sertraline eventually work?

Yes, I'm going through similar with my medication sertraline and pregabalin together. I've been on them a couple of weeks and feel no better - struggling with anxiety and OCD.
I hope you feel better soon. Couple of weeks is still early and I hope it kicks in soon. I’m going to wait at least 8 weeks before I consider making any changes.
It has worked well for me. It’s really tough waiting for anti-depressants to kick in. 6 weeks is good. 2 months is better. 100 worked great for me, but it took time. I felt noticeably better by 2 months and less anxious. By 6 months huge improvement. Hang in there. Drink tea. Read books. Take walks. Breathe. Keep the faith.
