I am on a 50mg dosage but my insurance has cancelled until November 1, so I wanted to keep taking it. It is for a friend that is no longer taking it. I am just going to take it until I can get mine filled.
Sertraline - Can you take a half instead of a whole one? Will it be just as effective?

Dang I hate when someone can not afford meds. I wish I could give you the three month supply I have that I can not take. Is it illegal for me to send them to you?? I don't know. I was prescribed them and can not take them due to the side effects. I would advise you to split them rather than to not have enough to last till you can fill yours. It is okay to split them I did to taper down when I found they were not for me.
Hello. I am currently taking the generic zoloft. I take a 100mg tab. If you are prescribed the 50mg dose for your symptoms then halving it would have less effectiveness. It wouldnt be good to break it in half without asking your doctor first. Hope this helps
