I have been on gabapentin 300-500 mg daily for about a week and a half. I am not liking the side effects and want to stop. Can i safely quit cold turkey? I am worried about discontinuation symptoms. Do I need to taper or can I just stop?
Can I safety stop gabapentin?

That's a low initial dose for a short period of time so you probably might not have a problem but the literature does say not to stop abruptly. It also says you shouldn't stop a medication without your doctor's okay. Side effects generally resolve within about two weeks. Your doctor may be able to adjust your dose, give you a tapering dose schedule, or suggest a different medication.
