My primary doctor has retired and my appointment doctor won’t renew meds until she sees me. I can’t get an appointment before I run out of meds and she won’t renew until she sees me!

Thanks for your interest. I called the pharmacist (mail order) and explained the problem. She took it very seriously and contacted the Doctor regarding the negative side affects.
Dr. Ordered the prescription and pharmacy has fast tracked delivery.
Great!
hi,
If you stop cold turkey you will most likely have withdrawals, the idea is to stop the medication gradually.
I´ll get back to you soon to see if I or any other member can think of a solution.
Get back to your new Dr. and just have her prescribe the amount you need until you see her, explaining the truth, the withdrawals you obviously do not want to go through (because of her (apprehensions), if you need 10 pills, just a script for ten.
Tell her you are not asking for a controlled substance, just a muscle relaxant, enough to get you through until you see her, you have every right and she has no right to treat you like an addict and make you go through withdrawals.
I do empathize with you and quite upset with your Dr.,tell her you do not want to go through the following because of her:
"Withdrawal symptoms can be seen in patients taking oral baclofen following abrupt discontinuation or dosing reductions. These symptoms can include altered mental status, worsening of spasticity, fever, nausea, weakness, and autonomic instability. If left untreated, initial mild symptoms can progress to severe."

Just wanted to know if you had sorted your situation with your new DR. out.
