sexyeyes; If all it say is Mucinex and no letters after the plain on is fine for your friend to take.follow the directions and I well leave some info. below if a cough continues But please have him get used to calling his doctor when he is going to take an over the counter medication..OR check with the Pharmacist at the pharmacy they can always tell you if it is safe for him to take. and do not break these pills have him take it with a full glass of water. here is the information that is important to follow also. Good luck Chuck1957 (((Persistent Cough
Do not use as self-medication for a persistent or chronic cough (e.g., that associated with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema), or a cough accompanied by excessive phlegm unless directed by a clinician.a
A persistent cough may indicate a serious condition; if it persists for >1 week, is recurrent, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or a persistent headache, consult a clinician.))) Have a good weekend. Chuck.
