I know there are 3 ways to inject it. I have been using the 2 week injector for 4 months. Tried Stomach and thigh. I have some one do it for me. Because I know I'd quit before I finish if I did it myself. I don't want to stop but I wish I could find a way that's less painful.
Repatha - What is the lease painful way to inject it. I find it very painful?

I inject in my thigh and make sure my shot is not cold I also switch thighs because the nurse suggested that
I don't know about a numbing solution. For me, the puncturing of the skin isn't all that painfull. This is the only part where a topical anesthetic would help. For me, about 1/3 of the time, the actual injection liquid burns as it's entering and for a while after. Sometimes the whole process is relatively painless. I always let my shot warm overnight. I wish I knew how to get it right every time.
I hate injections. I shuddered at doing this myself. It took a few times to feel comfortable about it, but it's no longer a big deal to me. I use my thigh and do it myself. The only time I even feel it is when I haven't left it out of the refrigerator long enough. I was told to leave it out for an hour before injecting. An hour isn't enough for me, so I leave it out for 2 hours. I keep my thermostat low, so it's always cool in the house. I'm right-handed, so self-injecting into my left thigh is sometimes a little tricky to make sure I have the pen perfectly straight, but that's really the only issue. I wish I didn't have to alternate legs, but oh well. Please don't stop. It's been the only medication I've found to lower my cholesterol and I have FH, so when if it stings for a few seconds, it's well worth it. Best of luck!
