Hi, rodnee!
Buspirone is commonly prescribed with antidepressants but there is a slight risk of a rare condition called serotonin syndrome. Your doctor has likely determined that the benefit of this combination outweighs the risk but you should be aware of possible symptoms. Serotonin syndrome is easily treatable in the early stages and some people recover without treatment.
I've taken buspirone for years along with various antidepressants with no problems at all.
