My question is about a ketamine consultation? I recently had a consultation for ketamine treatment. I guess I was expecting a lot more questions about my mental health. It lasted about 15 to 20 minutes. I was asked about current medication’s, allergies, a brief mental health history of my family, and then I was just asked for a brief history of my depression. I’m not very good at describing things so more questions would have helped, I didn’t really say that much. There were no follow up questions and I left feeling like why didn’t he asked me more questions? I’m already set up for my first ketamine IV infusion only seven days after my consultation so I’m just asking what other peoples consultations were like? should I be concerned about him not asking me more questions? My biggest fear is a bad trip I’ve read some reviews that say that people became more suicidal, and felt worse during or after their infusion? I’m not sure I could feel any worse than I already do with my depression, but I just couldn’t deal with ketamine making me feel worse than I already do. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you Chris

I just completed a one-month Ketamine assisted therapy program with six infusions. I searched all over the country to find the program I chose based on their comprehensive questions that included one-on-one therapy before and after the infusions. I did find many locations who barely asked any questions and had no therapy which is really important. My advice is to keep searching. My own experience has been life-changing for me. Hope this helps! Stephanie
I experienced IV Ketamine as merciful, healing experiences. I received through Kaiser which operates conservatively to a frustrating degree and haven't heard of cases of IV ketamine triggering suicidal thoughts. Ketamine via IV has soft, spacious, kind, open, welcoming energy. Prior take time to meditate, pray, be with your breath, tender touching and take this energy into the session. Ketamine isn't harsh; I don't see it harming even if it's not a cure.
I have never been on Ketamine, but there are reliable user reviews/comments for Ketamine by other patients. Click on the link and access the information which perhaps may help clarify your doubts (click on reviews from the condition you need reviews/comments from), I believe your condition is depression:
