I recently lost my insurance and my mental health provider suddenly closed its doors. I was able to get my PCP to send in my medications. My Vraylar is $1300. I’m planning to come off of it for that reason. What is the best way to come off with the least amount of side effects?
Thank you.
I have a question about coming off of Vraylar?

Hi, I
I just answered a similar question regarding coming off a different antipsychotic, this is what I wrote:
The best taper is to have your Dr. help you with a discontinuation schedule under his/her
supervision.
Best of luck, masso
Hi, Raulynn!
I have to agree with masso that you need a doctor's guidance or you could suffer discontinuation symptoms. I know that might difficult in your situation but perhaps your PCP could help? Also, ask about possibly getting free samples... that's how I get my Vraylar.
Another thing you could do is Google "Vraylar" and go the official website then click on "Savings & Pricing". You might be able to get assistance through the manufacturer.
Best regards and good luck to you.,

Hi. I had concerns about the cost as well.
I called the company (1-800-761-0436) and they gave me information to provide to the pharmacy ( BIN number, PCN number, GROUP number and an ID number). The cost for me would only be $75.00 for a month supply. That was for 1.5 mgs. I don’t know if strength would make a difference . If you and your doctor decide you should continue Vraylar call the company. Took me less than 10 minutes on the phone.
Thank you for the update! I hope others will read this and be able to use this important information.
