I never adjusted to it. It got to where I did not know my own self. Could not concentrate, could not remember words I wanted to say. After a couple months, I got off of it the day I got in my car and did not know how to put my car in reverse to get out of the garage. Coming off was horrible for me, I had brain zaps for weeks, thought I never would get off of it. I have panic attacks and anxiety at times and Drs. have suggested meds. After the Gabapentin, I do not want anything that alters my mind and body like a zombie. Wish I knew of a very mild med. for a short time and not turn me into someone I do not even know. Good Luck.
Thank you, I've stopped taking it I've got children to look after and I couldn't look after them properly whilst taking it. I've got 2 slipped discs and deep root nerve compression I just need to pain-free so I can do a dinnerlady job starting September, but I cant stand up for more than an hour without having horrendous back pain and foot and ankle pain drs put me on medication and there so strong I'm still not with it enough to work so frustrating, hope your managing ok x
It's really sad because they're pushing this one too. No matter how you try to tell them it doesn't work for you they are still pushing it.
I'm sorry you are experiencing this particularly uncomfortable side effect. I went through the same thing as well in the beginning almost three months ago. However, for me, I started to feel "clearer" about two months in. Not as normal but not as foggy. Hope this helps. :)
Thank you much appreciated xx
Just my opinion. You can't give everyone an aspirin. An aspirin for you may be fine. An aspirin for me starts internal bleeding. I took this medicine and it had me very unstable both mind and body. I found myself almost falling several times. My thought pattern was completely off. They're days that us seniors have those moments, but that medicine had me really messed up.
Some people feel like that all the time. I didn’t!
Thanks, can I ask how long it took before you felt more normal Tia x
I didn’t feel different at all.
Ok thank you x
