I looked into Prolia last year with my rheumatologist and we decided against it. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I could not take Boniva at all. Just remember that once you start Prolia it is a lifetime commitment. It is not designed for just a few years like Boniva, but is designed to be taken for the rest of the person's life. That is why I decided against it, with the expense and possible side effects I felt that it was not worth it. Instead I take a calcium supplement +D everyday instead.
