I've been on Ortho tri cyclen lo for almost 2 months, and it is my first birth control. I got my period today while I still have 2 active pills left in my pack. On my period tracker app it says I'm supposed to get it in 4 days. I don't think it's spotting, I have cramps and tender breasts along with it too. Do I still take my placebo pills in 2 days when I get to them, or do I skip them and start another pack of active pills when I get to the placebos? If I do take the placebos, and I've already had my period, will I still ovulate also? I got my period last month on the placebos and I don't know what to do since I didn't this time. Thanks!

First of all, throw out the "period tracker" It doesnt apply when you are on the Pill. Never, ever alter your pills no matter if you are bleeding or not bleeding. You may occasionally start bleeding on your third week, especially in the beginning of taking the Pill. Your Pill will dictate your periods from now on so you dont need a "tracker". Eventually your period will come during the 4th week of inactive pills but on occasion you may start earlier or later-no matter-just keep taking the Pills as they come in the pack no matter what!

So, yes, finish your 2 active pills then take the placebos. Never alter the way you take them according to your body. Just take them one day at a time as they come in the pack at approx the same time each day.

Another thing, you DO NOT ovulate while on the Pill. This is how the Pill works. It stops ovulation so you dont get pregnant. That is why period trackers dont apply when you are on the Pill

I have a question. I had my last period last November 08. It lasted for 4-5 days. Then I started a new pack of pills on November 23.. today (December 13) is my last pill, but im surprised that I've seen a drop of blood when I went for pee. Why it's like that? Is there any problem? Before when I'm using the same pills I'm having my period 4-5 days after my last pill. Please answer me. I'm kinda worried. Thanks in advance
