hi im new to this site and have a question hopefully someone can help. i had my left ovary removed in august then had both tubes removed also in nov, now have multiple cysts on the other good ovary, my question is why am i having severe pain on the side where i have no ovary on my period.

hi there
i also had my left ovary and tube removed and ever since i have awful pain on the left side during my period. my doctor went in to see if there was scar tissue or adhesions but found nothing. he said the next step is to have an ultrasound but i don't see what that can show up if he has already looked. he seemed unsure as to what could be causing the pain and even suggested it was from the trauma of the pain of the ovarian cyst i had before. he also mentioned it might be hormones irritating my bowel. i'm just wondering have you have any progress since? wishing you all the best and thank you.

Honey I feel ya. I have the worst pain during my period. My doctor told me that the pain was due to uterine fibroids. Has your doctor checked you for those?

No he hasn't I go for ultrasound this month I have more cysts on my right ovary he's gonna probably take that one to.their growing fast I'm sick of all this also he's gonna categorize my uterus.what's that

It's where they basically destroy the lining of your uterus which is where the blood comes from during your period. So after he does that you shouldn't have a period anymore. It's a good thing that he is taking your other ovary so you would be in so much pain anymore. I told my doctor that I want a full hysterectomy because I'm only 28, I have 4 kids and I bleed heavy and it's very painful. I have cervical, ovarian and uterine cancer so I don't know why my doctor is draggin his feet on the hysterectomy

thank for your help. he wont take my whole uterus because my insurance wont pay for it due to my age. he and me both think its crap i have nothing left, so i guess cauterizing they will pay for. im in so much agony, and im one of those people who think,oh if i go to the hospital their gonna look at me like im drug seeking, i was their last month cuz my doc told me to go because of the bleeding, ya no i just dont wanna seem like im a bother . im sorry to hear you have cancer, my prayers are with you. thank you for your wonderful advisce!!!

ya i dont know why your doctor messing around, just do it. lets not wait. did you get a second opinion or anything
