How long does it take to feel the affect of a generic yellow Percocet 10mg? I have recently been prescribed this medication and can’t really tell that they are relieving any pain. Thanks

The dose is to low or to little if your not feeling any relief. Doctors start you off on the lowest dose possible for safety reasons. Another factor is if you have taken an opioid medication in the past your body has adapted itself. The human body does this with alcohol or nicotine, this is not unusual. Talk to your doctor about your lack of relief. Use the DOD 1-10 pain scale found on the internet. It goes further than the smiley, crying face model. It will give you an important tool to better understand the depth of your pain, as well communicate with your doctor.
