"Join the club!" Sorry, I'm not trying to be sarcastic to you personally, but this appears to be the new approach, and it's almost like the Doctors' are trying to say, "To hell with it!" - in response to the new policy of politics telling them what they can, and cannot do! Rather than risking any reprimands, loss of their license, and/or prescription prescribing rights from the now "CDC", "FDA" ruled agenda, it's almost like our Doctors' are thinking, "I know that this patient will be in acute/severe pain, but then throw their hands up - "I have no choice!" Knowing that it's impossible for them by themselves to practice medicine in a system over which now they have little control, and it being not at all and totally going against why they originally made the decision to devote their lives to the profession of sincerely helping people!
Hi, Akajk,
I'm sorry you are going to have to go through something "very painful."
The problem is you haven't given any of us much to go on in order to answer your question.
You mention Oxycodone and your doctor telling you to "take some Advil." Are you wanting your doctor to prescribe Oxycodone to you for the pain after the procedure?
Have you talked to your doctor about this? There maybe a reason they are telling you to "take Advil," but you need to discuss this with your doctor and find out why they said to "take some Advil" instead of prescribing something stronger for the pain. Your doctor may feel Advil should be strong enough for you; however, you will never know unless you talk to them about this and tell them your concerns.
Please let us know what your doctor says after you talk with them and we can go from there.
