I had my left ovary and tube removed about 6 years ago. Apparently there was a dermoid cyst growing in it about the size of a peach. Anyhow, ever since then, I, too, have had a dull achy pain on that side. It comes and goes. I can’t imagine why it would hurt since there isn’t anything there. I don’t get it.
I am having the same issues. I was told 3 years ago that unless I had my right ovary removed (which I was told it was a cyst but was actually a teratoma tumor ) . My doc at the time scheduled a procedure to remove my ovary . I had so many questions regarding if this was a cancerous tumor or if it truly was just a cyst Etc. She then cancelled my surgery because she didn't feel comfortable doing it because I had to many questions. I never went back and 6 months later I became pregnant with our daughter. I have had 2 C-sections , so I knew I would have to do it again. I was shocked when my husband told me how big the (cantaloupe) size tumor was. I had my left side tied this time. I am now having the same kind of pain on my right side. I am on the pill to help with my now horrible periods. Which I have had since 3rd grade and had never been as it was since I had my baby. I am scared to go get a ultrasound but after reading all of y'all's advance I will definitely be making a appointment asap..Thanks so much..
I had surgery a year ago to get an ovarian cyst, the size of a grapefruit, removed from my right ovary. Now, a year later and I have surgery in one month due to another ovarian cyst on my right ovary. The surgery will be to remove the cyst and to remove my right ovary completely! It is was is best for me. But the dr also said that during surgery he would be looking for "endrometreos", which can only be seen by surgery and can cause so much pain and discomfort with no explanation! You might want to ask you doc!!!
Because I am always in too much pain to function. I mean I never do do anything. I just lay in the couch, or the bed, and watch tv.

Hey,
Im a 31yr old mother of 4, in which i had had four C-Sections. My first was in 2005, the 2nd, in 2006, the 3rd in 2010, and the 4th in 2012. Right after my last c section, my period being so much worse after that, before they were light, with cramping I could withstand. It was never a big deal. After I got my tubal in 2012, my next period was way more painful and so much more heavier. Its contintued like like since then with flare ups/episodes in between my cycles, as if they werent painful enough, my right ovary always gave me issues with pain. Only my right ovary. Ive been told before, that the pain is cysts on my ovary and was told that its normal and will go away eventually. It hasnt at all, the cystst, keep coming and causing pain and it gets to the point where im in tears. Does anyone have a situation that sounds similar, or any ideas or suggestions, or anything that can help push me in the wright direction?
Could the pain be caused by endonetriosis that grew outside the walls of the womb and ovaries and tubes? And is not detected through regular exams?
possible diagnosis Ovarian remnant syndrome. I had my left ovary and fallopian tube removed, did ok until the right ovary took over and caused me severe pain with monthly complex cysts rutruring. I do not know much like your age or if you are on birth control but It is possible for a piece of ovary over time to grow back. Believe it, it happened to me twice. again ovarian remnant syndrome is a possibility. When I have the total hyster I thought great finally no more pain, then about 4 months later I began to have the symptoms on my left side, ultra sound and estrogen level confrimed it the left ovary was back and with a vengence.Get it checked out. and get treated. I ended up having six major surgeries and it left me disabled due mostly to adhesions and severe chronic pain. I wish you the best. I had to see anyone have to go thru what I did.
I was just wanting to add my comment. Im 20 years old and had my left ovary removed when I was 17 because I had a benign tumor/dermoid cyst the size of a cantaloupe. It was a dermoid cyst before it was removed and a tumor after, I guess the Docs just weren't sure at first. They told me there was a good chance I could have another one come back on my right. Im very afraid there will be no chance of me having a baby. I still have weird pains in my lower abdomen in the same side, I've kinda just never felt right since surgery, 3 years later I would think things would be some what normal. I've been to the dr. about 5/6 times since surgery, same ole' thing pregnancy test, pressing all over my belly, appendicitis, x-rays the whole 9 yards and nothing can be found but I know my body is not right. Should I keep trying with the drs, I've just got so sick of going back and forth and getting nothing. Thanks for any help, and hope all works out for everyone.
I know im late responding but hopefully you will be notified by your email. Another thing it can be is ghost pains. They told me that it can happen much like someone in war who needs to have something amputated. Lets sat from the knee down is removed. They would still get pain where the leg used to be so they call it ghost pains. I had my left ovary removed 10 yrs ago and i got the pain alot at first. But it went away after a while
I'll pray for you sweetie - there's nothing more precious from the Lord as the gift of a child. My granddaughter is due any day now, so that blessing is close to my mind right now. Forgive my ignorance, but don't the hospital emergency room's have to see you, even if you dont have money? You have another bill to make payments on, I'm sure, and you don't need that. Don't let it get to an all-out do or die situation, Ok? Take care and God Bless.
Dixie,
I agree with Eliza Jane and chris, could be something else entirely (and wouldn't it be great if it were that gift you've been praying for!!) and the hospital MUST see you whether you can pay right now or not!!!
Go now, please?
xoxo

Yes. They are supposed to treat anyone with or without insurance. But if they are quacks like they are here in Murray County & Whitfield County, GA, they will act like there is nothing they can do and send you home. Don't let them treat you that way, they have to treat ANYONE who comes in! I have been many times without insurance.
Hey my darlin Yankee Lara and my darlun Chris, u r right something is not right about this. I don't have anykind of healthcare because of prexisting conditions. I have had some of the worst constipation from the day in January they took my right ovary and tube out. A gastroenterologist specialist said she had never seen so much crap literally inside anyone when she got xray.results back.sorry so graphic but true. I have literally gone 3 months ata time without a BM. Chris here in the past three days it has been constant. My belly always.hurts but never down low. I am so scared we will never get that blessing from God of a child or children with only one Ovary. My Aunt is.gonna try to come down from Charlotte this wk snd help me pay for an appt. I will keep u updated. Pleasr pray everything is ok and a miracle comes along.and I have atleast 1 but not limited to 4. I have wanted kids since I was five.
My mom told me.at that age the way u have a baby is u pray to God for one, so needless to say I have prayed for a baby since 5 and expected one to come really.soon LOL. BUT.SERIOUSLY I STILL PRAY.FOR THAT BABY AND TRY NOT TP GIVE UP HOPE, BUT ITS HARD WHEN DOCS KEEP SAYING MY CHANCES R SLIM. THX GUYS. LOVE Y'ALL. DIXIE ANNA
One tube, ovary, and uterus is all you need to get pregnant. I asked my doc after the one was removed if that meant I could only get pregnant every other month. Dumb question! Even though I was pregnant, he told me the one ovary would take over and produce eggs every month. It could happen so keep the faith!!
Thx, Chris that makes me feel so much better hearing that another person of my situation can still get pregnant. U just took.so much weight off my shoulders. I love this sight. People can bring u up so much when u r so down. I appreciate all my friends on here being here for me
I wish I had Such great group of friends where I am from. I trust u guys, and the only person I trust fully where I live is my hubby. When I get off the methadone we r gonna get a fertility kit and if that doesn't work see.a fertility specialist if we can afford it. Thanks so much for the hope
I had the same surgery years ago. That's when I found out I was pregnant with my youngest. :-) Quite the shocker! Did you have the same incision? Belly button straight down, about 6 inches? Hurt like hell! Obviously it can't be ovarian cysts causing the pain. Yes, you should get this checked out. There's other "things" organs in that area that may be causing some pain, including intestines. Is it pain that comes and goes? Constant? Best to have it checked to be on the safe side.
Take care and let us know how it goes.
chris
Darlin' Dixie,
You get yourself in to see your OB/GYN asap gurl!!!
Do not wait, do not pass go, do not collect $200.00, just call and tell them about the pain and get there.
If you can not get an appointment get to the ER. This is important and you know that my dear friend.
