Hi, Ogtxaggiemom,
Of course you can take Osteo Bi-Flex after your surgery! You'll be seeing your doctor and/or a physical therapist and you could run it by them, but if taken as directed you will be fine. I personally find I get more pain relief and relief arthritis with Move Free but it is your choice, but then I am 65 and counting - LoL. I'd take it with food for sure. Hope it helps with your recovery! After getting released by your doctor consider taking restorative yoga. It will use some very slow gentle stretching with your legs and can be quite beneficial!
All the best,
Tony
