Or must one take the entire capsule to obtain optimal effects?
Can one open the capsule and pour out the medicine from inside to take it?

It's not a good idea to open the capsule and take the contents so I wouldn't do it. But... I am not a pharmacist, so I suggest calling your pharmacist and asking him or her if it is ok to do this and how do it safely, (ie. sprinkle the contents on applesause, or ice cream , etc.) your pharmacist is the best person to answer this question for you!
