Hi, no kids & I've been having my implanon for 2 years now and this never happened too me. I have irregular periods like sometimes ill get my period for two weeks in a month and the next month I won't have it or sometimes ill get it normal once a month. Now this month has been different. I got my period for the first time in this month (june) for a whole week then I got the next week off and then my period again then a few days off like three or five days and my period again the next week, and it hasn't stop. I'm going for my second week straight of having my period. Some weeks were light others were pretty heavy. Please help I need to know if this is normal or it may be something that's needs to go to the doctor.
Is it normal have your period for almost a whole month while on implanon?

Yes, sometimes irregular bleeding like this can start even after you've had the Implanon in for a while. But if the bleeding is very heavy then please see your doctor.

I've had implanon for 7 years and the same thing happens to me. I don't have kids either (if that helps a bit)
I've talked to my doc about it and she said it was completely normal.
Most females don't get their period at all using Implanon but I guess our hormones/bodies work a bit different. Nothing to worry about :)
Irregular bleeding is definitely a side effect of Implanon. If it is bothersome to you, you should consult your gynecologist.
