I've had implanon for over three years now. It expired February 6, 2015. I have yet to have a period. I only had 2 periods the whole 3 years I have had it. Is this normal? I am not financially able to get it removed right now. Its making me real worried.
I have an expired implanon still inserted in my arm. Why haven't I had a period?

You may still have some hormones hanging around from the implant, that will mess you up. Or you need to get back to normal, as your body stabilizes after the hormones.
That's what im scared of. Its hurting me where i can't have kids. Thank you so much.
I would agree. My girlfriends expI red too but it took her three months to get her period back. I wouldn't worry about it, but you could go to any free clinic that's recommended and that way you can keep a journal for how long it's been and get feedback. I'm also trying to get pregnant. an OBGN, or free medical clinic is the way to go So you can get professional feedback and put you at ease. when I stopped birth conto pills it took me 3 months until I got pregnant (long ago) because the hormones do hang around. don't stress too much about it,but if in 3 months yiu haven't had one, go check it out. Good luck!

Thank u so much. Im looking for a clinic now
I meant my girlfriends expired too. It probably doesn't expire right when it says too. I wonder how accurate that is. They say pills expire (nothing crazy) and I'm sure they do, but I've found some to still work... Can you get on medi-cal?
Also, there are a LOT of threads about this. Check them out but don't be scared. Everyone is different. You may have to.get it removed, or just ask any doctor if that's the possible reason And what to do. Good luck! I will be routing for fertility for ya!!!
That's great that you are being proactive about it and calling a clinic. They do a LOT of free services. It's pretty cool depending on where you live. Let me know how it goes. There are lots of online tools too once you get your period that will tell you when to have sex and all that. I'm routing for you!!! -iggypopgirl
