My doctor recently told me I have no choice but to quit smoking. My oxygen level is extremely low. I need to use a nicotine replacement as I've smoked for 35 years. Does the patch drop oxygen levels or is it just the smoke inhaled from the cigarette?
Does using a nicotine patch hurt low oxygen?

Poor lung function and reduced gas exchange are responsible for low oxygen levels. You could hopefully expect some improvement on quitting smoking but any exercise will cause your blood oxygen levels to fall quite markedly, far more than in a person who has never smoked. Sorry.
Take care.
