i get really sick on vicodin 7.5/750, and now my doctor has changed it to hydrocodone 7.5/350 which is a lot smaller. He didn't discuss the difference too much, and i would really like to know before i take them.
Which is stronger, Hydrocodone 7.5/325 or Vicodin 7.5/750?

Im not too familiar with this but with the vicodin the pill was oblong white and was imprinted with m360, now the pill i have is so much smaller white oblong with the imprint m366.

7.5 is the strength of the hydrocodone. The 325/750 is he strength of acetaminophen ( Tylenol) so basically the 7.5/750 is stronger. If you are sensitive to acetaminophen ( generic tylenol) the 325 may be better
7.5/325 is a lower dose.than 7.5/750
I hope this message finds you well, and improved by this point, it appears you posted some time ago, although for other experiencing the same question or inquiry;
The Hydrocodone is stronger and extended released in compound, while the Vicodin is weaker.
It is true that the Tylenol makes a difference, however you only need the smaller amount in the Lortab aka Hydrocodone for effectiveness and the Vicodin to be some what close, however there is no positive comparison and hopefully you have been on the hydro for relief during this time.
thank you for your complete answer, I cant believe it took 5 years to get an answer as good as this !
The 7.5mg is the amount of hydrocodone in it. The 325mg or 750mg is the amount of acetaminophen or tylenol in it. The acetaminophen boosts the effect of the hydrocodone. So the 725mg is much stronger. That is a pretty high dose of acetaminophen per pill so take it exactly as prescribed to avoid side effects or toxicity.
The opioid drug hydrocodone is exactly the same 7.5mg, the acetaminophen is less at 325mg. the other had 750mg acetaminophen. Try taking them with food or milk. It may help with the nausea. Also try to lay down for a bit when you take them. It usually causes more nausea when you are ambulatory (or walking around). It may help if you lie quietly for an hour or two after you take it.
Thank you! Great suggestions!
I'd pretty much like him to explain the difference, except for the fact that the vic has more tylenol in it, they are the same.
Thank you!
