... per day, for the past 3 years it's been four times a day (high anxiety days I've taken more). I need to start weening off, I am tired of the feeling of worrying about where the next pill is coming from, getting far too old for this (59). Does anyone have any advice? I don't want to detox or go to rehab, I'd like to do it myself with my MD's assistance. I've read through some of the other posts and found the information helpful.
Thanks All

I was on lorazepam through Actavis and did great. My pharmacy switched brand to leading pharma and I am now having shaking and high anxiety. I am scheduled for surgery in 10 days and cannot do it with this med. I need to find some Lorazepam made by Actavis. This was without any warning and the side effects are brutal. :/
Bulger; Your best bet is to go to your doctor, And talk to the doctor about what you want to do. Normally this is the best way and the doctor that has been giving them to you should give you a tapering dose and it should be over a period of months don't let them try and take you off in a week or two. You want this done as comfortable as possible. This is done all the time make sure your very honest with the doctor about how many you have been on and work down from there. Good luck to you and this can be done. But it is going to take time for as long as you have been on this medication and to make it so you don't have to suffer from any withdrawals best of luck to you and this can be done.
