If anyone has ever taken this medication some feedback would be great. I was just prescribed 5 mg for the first week followed by 10 mg after that. Is that strong enough? How many mg's is enough for my brain to react to it. Iam worried that that's too much of a tiny dose and it won't do anything. My state of mind is so bad I would like to be on the highest dose possible. Any side effects with this drug? Iam also taking zyprexa so hopefully this would be a good combo. Thanks in advance!

i started taking trintellix just over 2 weeks ago - my mood has changed a bit and i'm not crying at all which is great. I'm still a little nauseous and tired but it has definitely gotten better from the first week. They recommend 6-8 weeks to fully see improvement.
I was on zoloft about a year ago but went off because of the weight gain - SSRIs do work! just need to be patient!
@emed27. I have been on 10mg for one week. I just came off of celexa because I was having a breakdown and it wasn't working. I haven't noticed any improvement yet but it seems to take longer than other meds I've tried. Crying daily and sadness has not decreased yet but I have no choice but to give it more time. God bless and I hope it works for you. Keep me posted Carolha1
Hi my name is Denise and I was on 5 mg for 2 months and just went up to 10mg and I know it will take time but I am still depressed and have no drive to do anything but the worst part is that I just dont feel like me. I am usually happy and funny around my husband and kids but since starting this med I just dont feel like me, I dont know how to explain in besides kinda feeling numb inside dont feel like me at all and am really worried about that. Not sure if increasing to the 20 mg will help with that or not :(
Denise, did the Trintellix ever work for you?
Hi there, I am in the same situation. I am on the second day of 10 mg dose, I also worry it is not high enough.
Good luck.
