I was just diagnosed with low Vitamin D. I originally went to the doctor because of severe leg, feet, and hand cramps. He did blood work, and it turns out my level is 5.9. I am now on 50,000 iu per week and 2000 iu per day. I just started this week, but I honestly feel worse instead of better. My muscle cramps are much worse. Of course, I know it's early in the treatment, but I too, would like to know how long before I start feeling better. I work full time, and I am so exhausted, I can hardly function.
How long till my Vitamin D supplements make me feel better?

Two to Four weeks, is the best answer.
I have been very sick since last October with ear and chest infections trying to hold down a full time job i only started last March but have been off 3 times sick in desparation after 3 x antibiotics i got another appointment with doc who at last ordered blood tests and x-ray..i have severe D deficiency and chest infection im on steroids and high dose 6 week course of Vit D im also taking omega 3 i blame cloud seeding or chem trails for blocking out our Sun here in UK there are millions of undiagnosed people all over the World
My husband practically lives outdoors in the sun in the southern united states. He spent 30 years in an outdoor job as well. We were quite surprised when he was diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency! His body does not absorb vitamin D from the sun. So he is now taking Vitamin D supplements - 4000 I.U. daily.
This is probably because of how vitamin D works according to the HI DOSE video I saw, that explains that high doses of vitamin D , is very effective , and needed to heal.
But there's a catch , at first ,the injury becomes worse ,and then it gets better.
The reason , is very interesting.
It is because , vitamin D at first , breaks apart the injured tissues , and then re-formulates them. All this can kinda hurt.
Just as vit D inserts calcium into bones , it also transports healing properties into injuries.
The Video I saw , gave an example of a man who had a sore , abscessed area in his arm , and it had healed partially.
But when he started to take vitamin D in hi doses, it became sore again , but then, it healed much better than ever.
Apparently, vitamin D in high doses , has been hijacked by the pharmaceutical industry and they give it some pharmaceutical fancy name to patent it , and disguise it . ... but it's just highjacking mother nature .
Their ally, the FDA lies , tellng the public ,we need a much with lower dose!
This also relates to vitamin c suggested FDA amount.
Vit c in high doses ,is also able to cure cancer and heal many issues, and we need it , to keep our collogen strong in our arteries TO PREVENT heart attacks (gorillas in zoos ,having heart attacks triggered this research)
We need as much vit c , as a goat consumes , around 9,000 mg per day .any zoo keeper has to provide hi doses, for snimals but doctors are unaware for people!!
Even if we pee it out .. Thats what we need .. As much as a goat!!!
Lol
Look it up !
And vit c gives me sprinter energy..
Its amazing - works with our ATP
Anyway
The youtube videos about both vitamin topics can be found by googling the key words ...
but the vit D explanation ,as to why the sun heals us , goes something like :
It relates to a hibernating bear...
Mr bear , goes without the sun, for months , so his cells stop dividing while its sleeping, ...
and that is how ,our bodies react to being indoors out of the sun.
We shut off , our system thinks that we are hibernating ...
and so,when we take vitamin D ,it wakes ours cells , so they can break down and then create new ones.
Cosmetic issue and vit D
I learned that my thinning eyelashes could be due to a lack of vitamin D which makes sense , because I forgot to take it for many months , and I stayed inside a lot , it's partially due to being older, 52 , but perhaps the science behind it , relates to getting older , low harmones , and needing vitamin D even more !!
And
Since , Estrogens make cells grow , being older , my harmones are lnow low ...
then, being low on vit d , would , makes cells far slower
... So goodbye ,new eyelash growth!
The lash + vit D connection:
I discovered this , when I looked into lash enhancer's , and it has a similar Component in it ,that relates to what vitamin D has inside it's miraculous composition ,
I can't recall the name of it right now , because I'm tired ...
some kind of fat , we all need...
Im signing off now , hope that helps
What are you on? What you are saying is in many cases totally UNTRUE! vitamin C DOES NOT CURE CANCER. Giving people false hope based on baseless beliefs is criminal. And vitamin D does not destroy cells and then reformulate them. Keep you insanity to yourself and don't spread such garbage on this site.
What is wrong with you??? Vitamin D does NOT cure cancer. Do you believe everything you watch on You Tube? And Vitamin D does NOT break down cells, and creates new ones. I have several friends that have breast cancer, their Oncologists would send straight jackets to you. Stop taking whatever drug you're taking. I have multiple sclerosis. I take Vitamin D2, 50,000 iu, once a week for 12 weeks. It certainly hasn't made me feel worse, before I felt better.
There is a link between low vitamin D and leukemia. Added it can cause copd and other respiratory issues to become worse, if levels are low. When my levels were only a 5, I could barely walk, severe fatigue, muscle pain, headaches, confusion and constipation. Low D levels have shown to cause high inflammation as well. So there is higher risks to all cancers with low vitamin D. But it doesn't cure it. Lastly, taking vitamin D in the morning is a must. Vitamin D at night has shown to interfere with Rem sleep. It can cancel out melatonin, causing more daily fatigue.
I had the Same problem myself. Did so much reading and called Dr a few more times. I had 3 deficiencies already and found out I had a 4th. Magnesium!
Taking vitamin D will magnify any magnesium deficiency symptoms. Even if you are just slightly low in magnesium. So I take 250mg a day now of Mag & 6,000iu of D. Also 1500 of B12 & 325mg of Iron and a multivitamin with extra 'energy' vitamins. Horrible feeling this way! Stay strong!!
Ive been on just D for 6-7 weeks. then after reading all about this And doing this mix for about 2 weeks, I do feel a little better. Night time is the worst though.
i have felt awful for 3 weeks the leg and cramps in back are awful very emotional and just do not feel good help!!! #
Calcium Magnesium tablets do wonders. Was getting leg cramps/restless legs during menses and then again during pregnancy, especially worst at night... horrible pain. A work collegue who was also a trained kinesiologist gave me the tip-off. Within TWO days of taking the off-the-shelf supplement the condition was improving until virtually disappearing. ... And then again, within two days of forgetting to take the tablets daily, the leg & hip pain would returned. I was amazed at something so simple yet effective & pass on this information when ever possible. I.e. Calcium WITH the Magnesium for absorption.
I suffered for years with cramps in my calves, hamstrings, and feet at least 3 to 4 times a week, agony. Along with adding Magnesium to my Vit D and calcium I take a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 8 ounces of water daily and now I'm down to 1 or 2 cramps a month for the past six months. I am also doing some research into vitamin K2 that looks promising. If you are taking Vit D, Calcium, and Magnesium, Vit K2 is possibly the missing component. I just ordered some will post in about a month my experience with it. Cramps can ruin your day.
And for leg cramps and such my mom always would say she had to take her "poison" aka tonic water as it still contains small quantities of quinine which stops or i should say eases leg cramps n such. And leg cramps can also be not enough potassium or too much whole milk!
A couple of months. You'll be good as new.
I just went to the dr. my vitamin d is at 23 I feel horrible.I am on my second round of 50,00 iu 1x a week. Can i take 5,000 a day instead of the 50,000 Ix a week, think it is to much.My body aches and night sweats??? help I am a busy person and all I do is cancel jobs and sleep alllllll the time!
You are sweating not because your taking vitamin D, but because your vitamin D levels are so low, mine is around 17 and I was night sweating long before I started taking the Vitamin D.
I've been taking the 50,000iu for 2 weeks now, and just started taking an additional 2000iu daily.
ALL vitamin D supplements, whether they are vitamin D, D2, or D3, etc.. should ALL be taken in the morning, any Vitamin D taken at night actually suppresses your natural Melatonin production in your pineal gland and prevents you from reaching REM sleep or even deep sleep.
If you are taking ANY vitamin D supplements at night this is why you feel so tired. This includes any energy drinks, vitamins, also exposure to bright lights at night prevent melatonin from being produced and that can be detrimental to your sleep as well, and in the long run lack of sleep, especially lack of deep sleep can be detrimental to your physical and mental health.
Deficiencies in Vitamin D can cause hallucinations, mood swings, night sweats, anger, violent behavior, pain, muscle weakness, symptoms of MS, rickets in children (soft bones that bend, and break easily), among other symptoms.
I have a Vitamin D deficiency that I just found out about. I can sleep 22 hours a day, I don't have the strength to go to the bathroom, hardly. I feel like I am in a sauna. That is Vitamin D deficiency, my friend
Vitamins don't cause a noticeable difference in how you feel. Its a gradual return to health.
thx again i love you for caring about others. always jab 453
