I am 73 but seem to have trouble coming up with nouns and names and my husband insists it the Viibryd instead of my age. Anyone else?
Does long term use of Viibryd lead to forgetfulness?

Hi, Jana!
Of course it might be a factor of aging... I'm 65 and I've begun having trouble occasionally. But you'd also want your doctor to rule out any underlying problem.
Viibryd can rarely cause a metabolic change called hyponatremia that might cause confusion, difficulty concentrating, and memory problems.
It might be worth looking into?
I've been on Viibryd for 7 years and I have not noticed this side effect. Initiated (after titrating up) at a dosage of 40 mg which I was on for 4 years. Then titrated down to 30 mg for 3 years and now am on a dosage of 20 mg. I will say that on 40 mg I did feel perhaps a little too serene and perhaps not as sharp as I feel now.
Viibryd has been a wonder drug for me but in general I believe that it is best (for me) to strive for the lowest dosage that still provides adequate protection against depression and anxiety.
