Why after 2 weeks of drinking during the Christmas break isn’t Lexapro working for me anymore? It’s been almost 6 months and I’ve upped the dose to 35mg and it’s still not working. Previously it was working great and now I keep having palpitations and skipped heart beats and it won’t settle even after 6 months and upping the dose. Please help, thank you

Hello,
First off you can not be taking 35mgs. of this AD which belongs to the SSRIs drug class ( selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors ), the max. daily dose is 20mgs., you are taking a high risk dose and experiencing side effects on one of your VITAL organs, therefore my advice to you is contact your doctor, you need medical guidance ASAP.

Hi,I am seeing a Psychiatrist and it’s all done through him and he’s actually very good. I wasn’t responding to lesser doses. GP’s can’t prescribe any more then 20mg but Psychiatrist’s can
The heart palpitations are due to anxiety
