Does anyone get dizziness when starting this drug? It's the worst feeling and really affects quality of life!
I'm not needing this that bad if I have to tolorate this. My wife takes this and didn't have any side effects. Not true for me sadly.
Try Dramamine. It usually alleviates he vertigo instantly.
I had lots of problems with lexapro. The worst one was weight gain - 20 pounds in 2 months. I also had flashes in front of my eyes, dizziness, ringing in my ears, headaches, anxiety, carb cravings, as well as nausea. I had whooshing in my head, brain zaps, and had all these again when trying to quit taking it! I didn't feel as though the benefits (of which I had NONE) outweighed the side effects.
Thank you G mc. After 4 days of this I quit this. I'll find something else.
only a week off Lexapro, feeling terrible, have been taking for about 4 months and had to wean off them, anyone know how long it takes to get them fully out of your system, have dizziness, tiredness, headaches fuzziness, would never recommend taking them.
I started Lexapro 10 MG I felt little upset stomach same day nothing much but next day evening I felt like something rushing up the body with burning sensation that lasted for an hour or so.
not sure if that was normal
Hi, it is common to suffer from side effects for the first 4 weeks/month with medications like this. This is the interim period whilst your body gets used to he medication. The longer you are taking Lexapro, the side effects will lessen. I know it is tough having to deal with this, but try to stick with it, because once you are passed that first stage, you will start feeling better & better. Sometimes people can experience feelings of depression, and sadness. If this affects you, please contact your doctor right away. Hopefully this won't affect you though. In the meantime, use OTC pain killers for your headaches, and make sure you are getting enough sleep, and eating a healthy diet.
Hi Blues-
I am so sorry you feel so bad :(
It usually takes 2-4 weeks for it to kick in and you may have side effects until then. Usually they lessen after the 2 weeks.
You may want to call your doc to tell them the side effects you are having.
I know that 2 weeks sound like a long time especially when you feel bad.
I hope you start to feel better soon.
