I have been newly prescribed Lexapro to help me deal with anxiety issues. I have not started yet and I am scared to because of side effects. My question is I do get frequent headaches/migraines. What pain medicines are safe to take while on Lexapro? I saw obuprofen and nsaids are not good.
New to Lexapro. What pain meds can I take for headache?

CARMAR10; It is still okay to take the Tylenol or generic 500mg 1 to 2 if you do get a headache. And as far as reading all the side effects you must also look at the percent of people is very small for a number of people taking Lexapro. And really the worst time taking is the first 7 to 14 days you can have some increase problems of what you are taking it for or anxiety not everyone but you must get through this period. And then as you take it all of the side effects that it may cause go away and slowly you will get to feeling better and even more so after the 6 to 8 weeks where it reaches its full blood level in your system. But really very few people have as many side effects as are listed. You need to try it to find out how you're going to do. And force your way through the first 2 weeks at least.
Thanks Chuck1957. I took 5mg a half dose instead of 10 experiencing pounding in ear and was exhausted but could not fall asleep. Not sure I can function like this.
Carmar10; if it is just too much let your doctor know there are others and they all affect us all differently good luck my friend
