Hi Abdullahkkk:
It's been my experience with Inderal that as long as you take it you don't have migraine headaches or at least as many, however, once you stop taking the medication the migraine headaches come back. Inderal is a beta blocker used to treat migraines, high blood pressure, irregular heart beats and other medical issues. Like all medications it has side effects, some worse than others.
Unfortunately you will probably have to take the Inderal or something similar for the rest of your life.
If the Inderal is causing you side effects that you are not willing to live with, talk with your doctor about changing your medication.
I wish you all the best in finding the right medication to treat your migraines. I have suffered from migraines for many years, however, I take Verapamil ER 120mg every evening. Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure, cluster headaches, migraines, arrhythmia and other various medical issues. As long as I take it every day my migraines are minimal.
I also take 150 mg of Topiramate, 50mg in the morning and 100mg in the evenings. Topiramate helps to keep me from even getting a migraine. You may want to ask your doctor about taking Topiramate in addition to the Inderal.
Blessings,
Judy
Thank you for your response. Yes, it is a really difficult disease that even hinders a person from performing his daily tasks
You reminded me to use it all my life, I can't do that I will use it for a period of time ranging from 4 months to 5 months and then I will stop to assess the situation
I use inderal 40 mg Once a day, although the doctor wrote to me in the morning and evening 20 mg, does this affect the effectiveness of the drug or not.
