I'm getting ready to get back on celexa which helped with PMDD years ago, but my new Psychiatrist wants me to take lamictal with it. Should I take it at night? Everything seems to make me tired. I am 50 years old and also had a partial hysterectomy in October 2020 so I know I'm hormonal. I also know I've had depression and anxiety my whole life and have taken other antidepressants that didn't help.
Lamotrigine - Lamictal question? Take it in am/pm?

I LOVE celexa! I’ve taken it off and on since 1999 when it first came out. It works pretty quick also. I started out at 5 mgs, then 10, then 15 then 20 which is where I am at and that works for me but my friend had to go to 40. I also take lamictal 150. I started lamictal at 12.5 mgs then 25 etc, my granddaughter started at 25 which is the normal starting dose. I take both right before I go to bed literally I sit on my bed and take them 150 lamictal and 20 celexa. I think because I started at baby doses that I bypassed most side effects except a tiny bit of nausea in the morning that barely lasted an hour. Just start at low doses if you can. Good luck!!! P.s. if you are able to I would walk 30 minutes a day. I have a mini trampoline that I love. Also when I went through menopause/ peri menopause I used a patch called climara and another one at a different tone called vivelle dot. They both worked great and no pills. Ok good luck again.
