10 is pretty low... If u worry about the effect before u take it it will make it feel worse... if u do a lot of caffeine cut bk some 2 help

Hey Sissy,
Prozac is a very good medication for people who suffer from OCD, anxiety and panic attacks. It will take several weeks for it to reach maximum effectiveness. You must take it every day for it to work. You may experience some mild side effects after you have been on it a little while. These should subside with continued use.
There are many people on this site that suffer from anxiety. You are not alone. I can share that it can and will get better with time and effort. So hang in there and give the medicine time to work.

Thank you Laurie, do you take prozac? I really just need comfort right now. My thoughts are going a billion miles per hour about what could happen. I'm scared.

May I ask what has you so afraid of the prozac? I have taken it though I now take a different antidepressant. They are nothing to be afraid of. They wiil help you in due time, honest. We are here for you. If you have any questions or just need to talk please keep posting.

You may begin to notice a gradual relief symptoms after the first couple of weeks. Takes upwards of a month to reach maximum effectiveness. Don't give up, the side effects maybe unpleasant at first, but they subside over the first couple of weeks.

Hello, My name is Darla I have anxiety really bad and I was wondering, what med would be good for me I have had threw docs try to put me on prozac, paxil, and Cymbalta, it scares me to try any of them, I just read about cymbalta and it says that it could make you go blind so I don't want toessential with that, what ideas do you guys have about paxil or prozac?

Paxil and Prozac are both good medications to help control anxiety. As far as Cymbalta causing blindness, this would be very rare. I took both Prozac and later Cymbalta for many years with great success. It takes a few weeks after starting a daily dose to really work well so be patient. There are many antidepressants that also help with anxiety so you are not limited to these three.
