I have a presciption for narco 10mg. but after filling my monthly presciption today I noticed the pills were white, round, and not the oblong yellow as narco 10 usually are, on bottle it says oxycodone 10mg./325mg. Are these drugs the same?
Is narco,10mg. the same drug as oxycodone 10mg?

Don’t worry that’s the right medicine 10mg is a small white pill.
Double check your past prescription bottles because they may have been Oxycodone as well. Ive never seen an oblong yellow Hydrocodone but I do know for sure there are Oxycodone pills that fit that description. You have probably been getting Oxycodone all along.
actually, the oblong, yellow medication is "Norco" and is in the family of hydrocodones, ex.Lortab, Lorcet, Vicoden{I believe} and various others. I have had the same prescription for over 5 years, and also have the same Doctor. I recieve 90 per month and for the record , I have ligetimate need after being burned badly in a carwreck. Well, back to the subject, I have never seen any hydrocodone or it's generic which basically looks like a big white round aspirin, and this month was the filling of my 3rd refill as I have refills for 6 months at a time. And I surely caught the pharmacist's error, because ,you see "I probably wasn't getting them all along and, and I don't get fooled by the appearence of my medicine bottles.I discovered on my own that I had Oxycodone10mg./325mg., which is Percodan not Norco.
I researched and found the answer myself, and sorry to say you were wrong, but these medicines are different, oxy is 5 times stronger than hydro, and though I appreciate your time to answer my question, I have learned that I was given Percodan accidentilly instead of Narco10mg. and just to mention my pharmacist, he is and has been caring for my family for years. So sorry, but your answer made me appear to not know one end from another! Recheck your information and you'll see that Lortab, Norco, etc. are not the same as big, round, white Percodan. Also in the southwest most people are familiar with Norco's, peach ones, and yellow ones. So thanks for taking time to aswer, but maybe I can find a correct answer for you one day... by...
Like I said, your pharmacist may have made a mistake. But the oxycodone is not 5 times the strength as hydrocodone. It's roughly 2.5 times. Hopefully you could go back to your old prescription without suffering from withdrawals.
lmao, thats the last answer I ever give to your questions. Someone must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed! I simply answered what may have been what happened and for some reason you felt the need to go on and on about how I was wrong lol. Doesnt make much sense to me but to each their own.
But since you are so adamant on saying who is wrong Ill have to make sure I add in for the record that, like Christina said, you are way off base with saying oxycodone is 5 times as strong as hydrocodone so you might want to check your information again and maybe some day you will come up with the right answer :p
So I guess both oxycodone and hydrocodone both come in yellow oblong pills. Many different meds come in many varying pill descriptions.
No, they are not the same. Your pharmacy may have made a mistake. Norco is hydrocodone and the script you have is for oxycodone. Please check with your doc to make sure you have the right prescription.
best wishes,
chris
