She did not say anything about my insomnia. Is amitriptyline used for insomnia also?
I have insomnia and anxiety. My doctor gave me amitriptyline for anxiety.

Yes it is commonly used for insomnia, it is typically used for pain management these days. They don't typically use this for anxiety anymore due to side effects like fatigue/groggy feeling next day.
Give it a go. I take 50mg every night for pain and it works well. Take 2 hours before bed as it will make you tired!
