Hi Sabala,
I'm sure there are others who will have an answer.
I did have shingles x 2 . They were mild cases and I didn't have any post herpetic problems.
I did develop life altering pain 15 years later but I don't think it's related. The pain was initially on the right side of my body come to think about it.
Anyway, I googled your question and I got mixed results.
As a matter of fact, there is a study of the use of Indomethacin and the % of people with shingles.
I can't write out the site because I will get flagged.
It's eHealth dot me. Type in Indocin and read what they have been investigating.
They are reporting on findings that show an increased % for woman and over the age of 50.
There is a form to fill out to determine if you are also on Lisinopril, etc.
There is also a forum for people regarding your question.
It may behoove you to read up on it.
I'm sure there are other members here who can give you a more specific response. I'm trying to get the discussion started here.
Best wishes
:-)
