Hello, this medication is often used to help another blood pressure medication. It works by helping the body and the kidneys remove excess water from your blood, excess water in the blood cause added pressure in your vessels and increases your blood pressure. Your shouldn't drink excess water that actually would defeat the purpose, however you should drink what's healthy for you but not in excess. I hope that answers your question.
"Your shouldn't drink excess water" - what constitutes excess water?
