I have done some internet based research on this topic. And I have bought the fishmox to check out what the pills look like. When I got them they are the brownish yellow colored pill that reads AA 825. According to my research the pills have to be the same as the ones for humans if the look exactly the same The reason being is that if someone overdoses and you call the 1800 poison number the ingredients must be identical.
Drugs made for animals are not held to the same purity standards that drugs made for people are. It may contain impurities not meant for human consumption. I wouldnt risk using it.
EVEN IF THE PILL IDENTIFIER ON THIS SITE SHOWS IT TO BE FOR HUMANS. NOTE THE PILL SAYS ON IT (AA 825) brownish in color. the same thing on this site to be for humans. I'm confused
If it is marketed for use in animals, you cant be sure. It may be manufacturing seconds or drugs that didnt quite meet "human use" standards but did meet the standards for animal drugs. It is your body but I wouldnt risk it or allow any of my family to use it. That is all I'm saying. It is your choice if want to chance it. Amoxicillin for humans is not an expensive drug, so why chance it?
I just want to say, of course it is ok to use vet drugs when you don't have access to the once controlled by the medical world. You mention that amoxicillin is inexpensive. Throw in a Dr. visit if you are uninsured, that $20 bottle of pills just turned to $120. I get really upset by sanctimonious people who act like human are not animals.
If your still checking yes they are exactly the same drug I'm assuming your asking for prepping purposes although I could be wrong make sure you know the doseage needed as taking them improperly can have consequences
Actually, if it is marked USP, it is exactly the same thing by law.
Why in the world would you make a separate assembly line process for an inferior product when it contains exactly the same ingredients!? This statement is insane form a business perspective. The suggestion that there is "a less healthful filler for humans" is just pure stupidity. The cost to create 2 different fillers for the inactive fraction of the filler, but pay full price for the active ingredient and coating shell would far outweigh any filler cost reduction benefit. The cost of creating in addition to that, a separate assembly line process, standards, safety checks, employees and purchasing your filler product in lower bulk quantities so that you can have 2 grades would far FAR outweigh any savings that could possibly be incurred. The only difference is the "FDA - Approved for human consumption" stamp at Big Pharma costs, that's not a conspiracy it's just a reality of living in America.

If you don't have the money to pay for a doctors visit, can't do the emergency room for w/e reason, and you can't get in and out of Mexico without problems - then this is a viable alternative for human medication. Farmacias in Mexico will not sell antibiotics or narcotics over the counter without a prescription - usually there is a doctor in the Farmacias that will write you a prescription on the spot though. I'd recommend you actually be able to speak Spanish (not Spanglish) to get the prescription.
The previous comment on cost is quite telling - even the quack doctors who work out of a strip mall sandwiched between a laundromat, nail salon and cash-4-gold will charge you 300.00 for walking in the door, 100.00 for a 'service/records' fee and 50.00 for prescription services. When you get to Walmart or CVS to fill it - you get hit with 10.00 service fee and 30.00 - 40.00 for the prescription.
You can go to the ER - however - you had really be at deaths door - and have false ID so the hospital cannot send you a bill. If you think for a second Obamacare made a simple doctors visit cheaper - you are so sadly mistaken.
Hi I've took fish MOX and had no adverse affects. I felt fine and I took two a day , one in the morning and one at night with or after food. Not saying they can't hurt you but personally it did fine for me.
But in an emergency - prepper situation, why not???
Not really. At least, not undeclared - for instance, intravenous Penicillin intended for Sheep, Goats, Pigs, and Horses (Non - food) contains all kinds of nasty stuff, like formaldehyde, methylparaben, and Polysorbate80. Stuff you wouldn't want going directly in to any living organism's circulatory system undigested... or at all, for that matter.
However, the ingredients are declared and formulated differently. (Mind, some human injections are just as bad).
These capsules are fine. If they were substantially different and undeclared, it would spell regulatory disaster for the manufacturer.
I know it seems like a crime, but those are the exact same pills your doctor would give you, just way cheaper. Welcome to American health care.
:)
Great comment @ onedenarius. I as well get sick of people asking this same old question but at the same time it never hurts us to expand this knowledge to people, I have bought different brands of amox and pen from different places and companies some work better than other companies, yes its the same stuff but I have noticed maybe different companies have older meds? Crazy but true!! Point being and to all out there with no way of getting antibiotics this stuff really works and will cure what you need it for. Labeling doesnt matter if something is penicillin or amox it will help, the same exact stuff your own doctor will prescribe you if you went to him or her but it will and I repeat will cost you more!!! So if you need antibiotics this will help you minus the doctor visit or lots of money in the long run.
It does suck that antibiotics here in the states are a prescription only item from a doctor, by my sesrches I noticed that you can walk into any medication place in other countries and purchase these medicines with out a written consent. That really pisses me off cause antibiotics save lives and you can't get high or od on them either! They are simply made to save your life if you have a really bad infection!! Hope this helps everyone out there, my purpose on this site it to save people money, time and giving out a simple survival technique. Take care everyone.
Yes the drug itself is cheap but if you're not insured at dr. Visit is not cheap. Also if you do have insurance you still have to pay your co-pay miss work pay for prescription xcetera so yes it does get expensive compared to fish MOX which works every time Mr politically correct.

Sorry to differ.
There is no difference, there just labeled for ornamental fish.
They all come from the same wholesalers.
If they have USP marking, there the same.
DzooBany. How do you know its not. Can you please provide me your source on this info. Thanks
You might also realize that drug companies charge USA an exorbitant price, while charging some countries extremely low prices. In USA, they can get away with it.
FWIW, I worked within the US Pharmaceutical Industry for years, and know many of their practices.
That is simply not true. The ones made in US are exactly same, .they Don t tell you that because it a money thing. Funny how even the dog ones cost more then.fish ones, so in essance what you trying to say is they are made different for fish then dogs? They are all exactly the same
