The way that I understand it is that the levothyroxine is difficult for the stomach to digest. You would think that someone would have come up with a sublingual dosage, but not heard of yet. Anyway, because of this it needs to be taken on an empty stomach and then Dr.’s say anywhere from 1/2 hour, 45 min to an hour after you can then eat or take whatever you need to. That is why the instructions on the bottle of levothyroxine should say to take it in the morning (whatever time) before breakfast. If you are taking the Dicyclomine because of IBS symptoms in the morning, try taking it before you go to bed.
