What doses does tramadol come in
I don't know
Tramadol comes in 50 mg tabs, it also comes in 37.5 mg tablets mixed with 325mg of acetaminophen, and 15 mg tabs also. All of which can be very addictive if not taken properly or for a long periods of time.
No
can 25 mg of Tramadol be an effective pain reliever for postoperative pain of knee replacement surgery?
Definitely depending on person.
No way. I take 300 mg of tramadol daily for mild to moderate upper back/shoulder pain and even on 300 a day I still have some pain. A surgery like that is definitely way more painful than the back pain I have.
I have been on Tramadol first 50 mg 3 times a day for last 7 years, and in the last 2 years 100 mg 3 times a day, not extended release as my system cannot absorb ER. Doctor ordered it wrong again for ER. I had to cancel and now waiting for new Rx to go through. It can be ordered through mail order as I have had, but then my dr. says no cannot mail order Tramadol, but guess what, it can. Had to reorder it from mail order. Some doctors, excuse me. Read my freaking file.
I just noticed this said 2011...
Can you still get tramadol in the mail?
Where do you order from? I need to get the 100mg but not er
I've been taken tramadol for years for chronic back and neck I use to take 3 to 4 at a time every 6 hours with no problem but now I'm on Cymbalta and my health care provider told me about the problem so all I can take now is up to 6 pills without any problem I just had back surgery again so of course I'm on the good stuff now
and 100 milligrams
I take 100 mg's 3 times a day and it doesn't do much for my severe Lower Back pain. Though I have lived with RLS for the majority of my life and this drug has completely relived me of any symptoms of Restless leg syndrome. I would recommend one 50mg one hour before bed to completely relive you of this very sleep depriving issue. The withdrawal is very severe with continuous mini seizures throughout the entire day and night. I have gone through withdrawal of other proscription drugs and this one is by far the worst! Take with extreme caution!
Would I go through seizures if I am taking them for the 1st time and I was prescribed 20 pills? Or were you taking yours for a longer period of time?
Discuss this with your physician. If you are on it for a short time it's very different than being on Tramadol for a lengthy time. If for quite some time, you would want to be weaned off it and that can be done fairly quickly due to the non opioid properties. The chance of seizures is low unless you're on a very heavy dose for months/years and suddenly come off almost any pain medication. When in doubt, speak to your pharmacist and physician.
For restless leg syndrome, you will probably be able to cure this by taking good doses of high quality magnesium. Many other health benefits as well, especially for tight muscles. It's a vital mineral usually lacking. I've been on it for many years and wouldn't be without it. Wife just started and can't believe how much better she is almost immediately. We take ReMag.
I was on Norco 10s for many years and then they decided to put me on tramadol 50mg Er twice a day, which does absolutely nothing for pain, now I'm on 100mg Er twice a day and still barely touches my pain, and I've also developed tremors in my hands. Also, I take a lot of other meds for Crohn's disease, arthritis, fibro, sleep, major depression, anxiety, chronic low vit d and b12, etc. I don't know if I'm on the right meds for pain and depression.
Actually, the dosages in the US are 50, 100, 200 and 300mg. But as others say... be very careful. Also, if you are taking any anti-depressants like Cymbalta, Effexor or Wellbutrin..beware. Tramadol acts on the Serotonin levels in your brain and if you take any other medications that act on Serotonin, you risk Serotonin Syndromes which causes the seizures and other problems.
Doctors like to prescribe it because it is a synthetic narcotic but it is just as dangerous because it packs the same withdrawal punch without the narcotic high you would get with hydrocodone and other narcotics.
oh, it also comes in 25 mgs also
I'm taking the 50 mgs currently, and would like to know if a smaller dosage exists. If so who is the manufacturer ?
I was at my Dr's yesterday and he informed me that only 50mg tablets we available in my state . I live in Washington and his practice is in oregon.
I take 35mg Tramadol.
You can get tramadol capsules in 50mg and tramadol slow release tablets in 100 & 200mg. The recommended high dose is between 300-400mg a day for an adult. Be careful with them though, they are highly addictive.
i have to totally agree w/ the addictive part of this drug, i myself and others have gotten strung out, ofcourse i was not taking as prescribed..i had 2 seizures after 2x taken 12 at once, crazy now i look back. i personally wouldnt even take them for pain. good luck, peace...
are u sure .. is this nation wide ..
... you can also get 300mg XR tablets now
Tramadol tablets are available in one strength -- tramadol 50 mg.
If u live in Canada it's 50/100/200/400
Not correct. I know people that are on 15mg tramadol.
I take instant release tramadol and mines 60mg
The doctor told me that mine was the smallest dosage and started me on 50mg. Doing well on that !
I've had 37.5mg tabs. Currently taking 300mg tabs. Do not believe the come higher than that

You are wrong about tramadol coming in only one strength. And to whomever asked the question : you obviously have access to the internet. Google it !
. . .well aren't you helpful. . If you can get all YOUR answers from the Internet then why are you on here at all commenting? This is after all a place to ask questions or did you miss that part?
Is there such thing as 150mg of tramadol?
Tramadol XR comes in 100 mg tablets. I recently started talking them. For some reason I have bad side effects from the XR that I don't have with the regular Tramadol.
My apologies, it's tramadol ER, Not Tramadol XR 100 mg.
My question is can you stop taking it without having side effects?
