The idea is to reduce tramadol by using pregabalin. AS within a week using pregabalin 75mg two times a day,I get pain free plus some euphoria and sleepiness, can I stop tramadol 50mg of tramadol 300ms taken in 24 hours?
I would like to slowly reduce tramadol with using pregabalin as wanted by the doctor according to my response, but I think I may stay on a low dose of tramadol as tramadol can also counteract depression. So if I now reduce just tramadol 50mg would I be doing it before my body has got used to pregabalin. Sorry if this question is not very clear but I sure appreciate any responses. With doctors so hard to get and with only 15 minute appointments I can never get enough information to feel secure so sharing with others can make up for that lack.
Tramadol - I am begining pregabalin which immediately has stopped pain.

If tramadol is your current means to control pain then It all depends on your body's response, but you can taper down tramadol with pregabalin. You just have to try it, for example reduce tramadol dose and see if your pain goes away or reduces, if pain persists then take pregabalin once a day rather than 2-times a day and see how you feel. Try this for 3-4 days, then further reduce tramadol and keep pregabalin once a day or twice a day and so on. These days, you can e-mail a question to your doctor via portal. See how you respond to medication changes and if doesn't work your way, then contact your doctor saying what you tried and what does he suggest now? Good luck.
