I am on azithromycin for 5 days and the cough lasts about 3 weeks I was told.

A lot of people seem to have an immediate relief from symptoms while taking azithromycin for bronchitis and some people don't see any improvement at all. It just depends on how bad the bronchitis is and the patients response. The link below has reviews which you may find interesting.
