Has anyone else ( long term Xanax use) for anxiety and panic attacks . Noticed a lose in memory, especially short term ?
I have been on varying doses of Xanax for about 33 years and I am losing my memory?

I’ve been on Xanax for 25 years and I’ve had no memory loss. I think it effects different people differently. If anything, it’s helped me focus and I am more aware of things and retain them. Again, everyone is different.
I was on Xanax for about 10 years and now I have been on Klonopin (clonazepam) for 20 years and my memory has definitely been affected, as you mention short and long term.
Memory impairment and cognitive disorder are very common side effects of benzos and the use of these do affect memory if used long term.
