You've given it plenty of time. In that case I would definitely discontinue it as it can cause severe renal impairment, kidney disease, just as over the counter analgesics. It did nothing at all for my arthritis and my doctor advised me to quit it immediately. At this point since the drug is no benefit for you, it is basically just causing your body damage and harm.
I took Meloxicam for pain. It did help with the pain but had to discontinue. After almost 2 years I was diagnosed with stage 3 Chronic Kidney disease.
I was prescribed meloxicam for joint pain. It worked beautifully. But then I started getting mouth sores and had to discontinue it. I'm back to stiff joints.
I had severe skin allergies with this medicine, my faced flushed, blisters on my skin and in my mouth, and hives. My regular MD and dermatologist missed the diagnosis even though I told them both I was taking this medication. Discovered the problem when I started journaling what I ingested to figure out my allergy.
Yes, I have found that the generic Mobic 'meloxicam' does not work for me either. I did have success with the Mobic. However, Mobic now costs 600.00 for a 3 month refill. So I am not taking it any longer. When I first started taking Mobic, it was ony 35.00 for 3 months supply. I would like to know the real difference between Mobic and meloxicam and why the costs difference.
Mobile is the brand name for meloxicam.
Hi, I took meloxicam for several years until my stomach could no longer take it. I did prefer it over the celebrex I take now. If you are not noticing any improvement, you should go back to your dr and look into an alternative anti-inflammatory. There are other choices available.
