A friend of mine is going to school to be a CDL driver. He is worried that guanfacine will show up on the drug test . Does it ?
Your friend should just disclose the fact that he takes the medication. The DOT tests are some of the most accurate out there. If he has a legit script all he needs is a note from the prescribing physician as to why he feels this med shouldn't interfere with the position applied for. Chances are it will show. Hope this helps.
I can't see any abuse potential with this drug, as it is a blood pressure med, not just for ADD. It is not addictive. Of course I've been wrong before about what stupid thing someone will abuse in an attempt to get high. Any way, I doubt they test for it, but I agree, they should just be made aware he has a prescription for it.
