I wonder if 150 mg is too high? If you back off to a lower dose for a day or two will your anxiety decrease? When I get amped up , I actually skip a day or meds. It lets my system relax and rest and it really takes the edge off the anxiety. That’s is only assuming that your anxiety is caused by the Med in your system too high, or too high to fast. I mean as opposed to another cause for your anxiety.
How much caffeine do you drink. No energy drinks. Right?
The Calm powder really works for me. It’s magnesium powder.
The book “Don’t Panic” previews reasons for panic /anxiety that are physically caused, not emotionally. Might be good to read. Talk to you doctor about your anxiety to rule out or identify a physical cause for it.
If it’s emotional. CBT. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is good. Wish you the best.
I weened myself off of Zoloft and started with 10 mg of Citrilopan and feeling much much better …. And yes started CBT and exercise, trying not avoid things or procrastinate, deep breathing… all this is helping me .

Hi Melissa,
Doing some simple math, it would appear your Dr. increased your dosage by 25 mg per month each visit, until you reached your current level of 150m mg. I am suffering PTSD, Depression; my Dr. started me off at 150 mg, commenting "anything less than that will not be beneficial to your case." I did not have as many side effects as you note. My troubles were generated by a huge and violent car truck pile up with many injuries, and yes, constant body pain is one of them.
Bear in mind to discuss in detail these exact symptoms you describe here with your Doctor; that this is exactly how you feel. Ask yourself, why do you think you "had a few good days on 100mg."? Is there a reason you can come up with, for example, it was a sunny great day, you met with a friend, you received a gift, ANYthing even a small event that made a positive difference? I keep a diary of my horrible PTSD dreams to document them; maybe keeping a diary of your mood feelings may help your Dr. figure a plan, or perhaps pair your Zoloft with another Rx. I take more than Zoloft med alone, but for privacy and safety reasons, won't say here. I don't expect Zoloft to "fix all my problems". I knew I needed a multi dimensional plan.
I think the MAIN reason I wanted to reach out to you is to assure you, NO, the rest of your life does NOT have to be this way. Anxiety alone over that issue can worsen outlook. If we can put men on the moon back in 1960's, then modern science can definitely provide you with a better path. Keep positive in all you do; I joined a new church and after being warmly welcomed as a new member, I felt calmer that very first time taking a step to help myself. See what you are capable of trying on your own, keep on the meds as per Dr, and take a baby step. One tiny step forward is a big achievement. I hope you feel better soon!
Thank you , I am speaking to my doctor today .
Most excellent!
