GHR Platinum is the latest pill growth hormone supplement and is supposed to provide more energy, better sleep, decrease arthritic pain. They say they have more than 20,000 clinical studies. Is it safe to use as a supplement since our own growth hormone deminishes to nil by the time we are 60 ? My husband began developing seizures 4 years ago. There seems to be no basis for this... all testing continues to be normal. I thought this would help both of us. We are 66. Please advise.
Is GHR Platinum safe?

Hi, i found the following information on GHR Platinum:
"Over 20,000 clinical studies prove the benefits of increasing HGH levels and the ingredients in GHR-PLATINUM are CLINICALLY PROVEN to help increase HGH and reverse many symptoms of aging."
Area's it is said to target are as follows:
Higher energy, loss of body fat, deeper, more restful sleep, decreased facial wrinkles, restored hair color / hair growth, less arthritis pain, improved memory / alertness, increased exercise endurance, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, increased sexual libido, increased muscle strength / mass.
I read a report of someone who has been taking it for a year, and they are very happy with the improvements it has made to their life. Don't start any new medication without consulting with your doctor though, best to be safe : )
Thank you, Delila, that's what I heard about it, but I don't understand how they could have done that many clinical studies and for how long of a period I wonder. I asked, but I didn't get that question answered to my satisfaction. I appreciate your response. I would love to hear from anyone who knows someone who is using it.
If i find any more information i'll let you know...
This "information" is taken directly from the GHR website. It has no validity in itself. They might as well say there are 100,000 clinical studies! Also, note that the claim in the quoted passage is that the "ingredients" in GHR-PLATINUM have been shown to increase HGH. Before taking any sort of growth hormone, you should have yourself tested for growth hormone deficiency.
I'm sorry if you are disappointed with my answer, i was just trying to help. I also added that no new medication should be started without consulting with a doctor.
From WebMD:
"Others purchase HGH products -- or products that claim to increase your body's own production of HGH -- in the form of pills and sprays. Companies that market these products on TV infomercials or online claim they turn back your body's biological clock, reducing fat, building muscle, restoring hair growth and color, strengthening the immune system, normalizing blood sugar, increasing energy and improving sex life, sleep quality, vision, and memory. However, the Federal Trade Commission has seen no reliable evidence to support the claim that these products have the same effects as prescription HGH, which is always given by injection. Taken orally, HGH is digested by the stomach before it can be absorbed into the body. "
This hormone supplement is not listed on this website. It does not appear to be FDA approved, this means that no one is checking to make sure that the ingredients and strength listed on the bottle do not have to match the label.
Please use only medications prescribed by your medical doctor and only take it after appropriate research.
I would not use such a supplement.
Sincerely,

Thank you doctor. I appreciate your input.
Moreover, any growth hormone taken orally will not be digested and fail to increase levels in the body.
