Three weeks ago my doctor raised my Celexa from 20 to 30. Not very hungry and lost a bit of weight. How long before this will stop?
When will my full appetite return?

ok, you have been on the Celexa for 3 weeks now. and most times it can take 6 to 8 weeks to reach the full blood level of the medication so slowly your appetite should be back from 2 to 4 weeks if you are still having problems please call your doctor and let her or him know what is going on. appetite gets bad just by being depressed or too much anxiety. also not always just the medicine but if you do loose much more weight call the doctor right away. and see what they can do. Not all of us have that much weight to loose lol have a great evening and let us know if you are doing well soon.
I took your advice going to doctor on friday.
Great Celexa in the mean time try and just munch on small things and instead of 3 meals a day eat like small amounts up to 5 or 6 times a day does not have to be a lot. or get some drink like ENSURE PLUS OR BOOST PLUS AND DRINK IT REALLY IS NOT BAD REFRIGERATE IT AND DRINK IT COLD TASTE LIKE A MILKSHAKE BUT ITS HIGHER IN CALORIES. I DON'T WANT YOU TO BLOW AWAY IN THE WIND BEFORE YOU SEE THE DOCTOR. LOL, YOU HAVE TO KEEP A SENCE OF HUMOR MY FRIEND AND THINGS WELL GET BETTER. chuck1957 Please let me know what the doctor say's after you see her or him. and know that you okay stay positive think of good things that has helped me tons. chuck.
I have been trying to keep that humor up. Did you ever have like butterflies in your stomach from the meds?

CELEXA yes that is real common the butterflies are more from the anxiety than anything. But not to worry about. just very irritating. Chuck
Starting to feel better, but still am shakey on the inside. Doctor said she might raise it again. Will I get those same systoms raising it? Scared of that. Also tired lately sleep in alot.
Well, those are all good signs for a day. Let's wait and see but I don't think whatever effects you get because the switching from the one to the other should be easier on you. That is the way it works most the time and you sure are due for some relief. being a bit nervous is normal. Just try your best not to worry about it.
I am feeling better today as in not having the hot spells so far today. I am still shakey inside and very tired. Will all of this go way soon? been on the higher dose now for a little over four weeks.
Yes, Celexa I am sure it well go away soon, Really I think we are dealing with the normal start of Celexa and the other one going out of the system. And even the shaking inside can be caused by hunger and when you can get something down even that might help. Glad to hear you are feeling better today it's just a matter of time. keep it up.
Chuck 1957, I am better one day almost feel my old self. Then within a day or two have aniexty again. Have been on celexa no for a little over four weeks now. Tha appetite is back most of the time. I guess i just need to be told there is going to be light at the end of the tunnel. If you could give me some suggestions in how to minimize all this thing. Geeze, I seem to be over thinking things.

I am on the 6th week and would feel great if I didn't get these sweat surges. What is that from? Med or aniexty or both. Want to be back to myself again.
Celexa; I would say the sweats are from the medication still and well go away. As you know when they say 6 to 8 weeks it's not to the day of course but I was just reading all of our post from the back and sounds so positive I would love to have you do the same and see just how much you have changed. And also like I said don't focus on every missed heartbeat, sweat session we only seem to bring them on more. right now your taking 30mg right!!! when you see the doctor I would not have it increased at this point it really sounds like you are going to level out. It's always a good sign when you have one or two good days then a few bad just means we are getting there and I have, to be honest with you which as I hope you know I always have been. But like with myself as you get more and more good days you might just see what is triggering the bad days and make adjustments to your day where you just won't have bad days. PART MEDICATION BUT A BIG PART IS US.
I firmly believe this and it does not mean that there is anything wrong with us. We have a chemical imbalance as I have said and it well start to get better and better trust me on this the writing is on the wall. And remember it is normal to have breakthrough attacks but we manage to overcome these on our own and with the big man's will. It does sound very good. and I say stick with it And continue to keep me posted please you sound great. Chuck1957 Keep at it and have a nice Easter.
Thank you Chuck 1957 for your encouragement. You and other folks on this site are very helpful. I am looking forward to being my smiley self again. HAPPY EASTER
Not a problem at all, Real happy for you and the ways things are coming along for you. And looks like the timing is pretty close even if it seems like its forever for us. Keep it up.
I had a wonderful day yesterday. I are a worked around the house visited with neighbors. Now today I am just tired and surges of aniexty. Is my body still adjusting?
Celexa; yes sounds real good but also remember to pace yourself with all you have been going through its real hard Remember a few ups and downs and anxiety we have a few days to go but very proud of you keep at it and don't worry about these little twinges this is all normal for you and so happy that your getting your life back.
It's been seven weeks now on the increased celexa of 30. I am funtioning and pushing myself to do things and seem to be so so. There are a coouple of things I do not understand. My tongue, lips and hands tingle most of the time. I get these surges thru my mid chest area. What are these symptoms from? I also have blurry eyes once in awhile. The chest symptom bothers me the most. Will all of these go away?
