How far apart could two interacting drugs be taken safely; e.g. oxycodone and ativan?

I would recommend spacing them out about 2 hours apart. Like KM says, if your Dr gave you both of them, you can take them both but you may find increased sedation using them together than you would using them separately. If you find taking them together makes you too drowsy, try spacing them a little further apart.
Its not how they act in your stomach its when they're in the blood. If the same dr ordered both, then I wouldn't worry. If it slows down your breathing or thinking then worry. You'd have to wait at least 6 hrs between them if you wanted to be sure they wouldn't interact.
