I took ativan. It's a great short term med. You might ask your doctor to let you try taking buspar. It's a great med for anxiety without the side effects of benzos. It takes a couple weeks to be effective usually, so your doctor will probably start you on a low dose of buspar and wean you off the ativan. I have dealt with anxiety for years and buspar works very well for me. Hope this helps! "G"
