Yes mine are sore as well 40mg every day for 30 days. My dr gave me a shot of depo then called in more prednisone so tapering off is what they are supposed to do. Now I have 40mg for 7 days then 30mg for 7 days 20mg and 10mg for all 7 days…. I do also have a question to anyone else experiencing bloating in hole stomach and pain in liver/guallbaldder???
Call you doctor right away. Without a taper you may have serious symptoms including seizures.
I called and they acted like it was no big deal stopping it suddenly. I'm wondering if maybe they just don't want to admit an error.
How are you feeling. I suggest you talk with another doctor. If you start having problems see someone right away.
So sorry they aren't receptive. It isn't the admitting of a mistake. It is the knowledge of the provider. Please find someone else next time you need a doctor. Their response is quite unacceptable.
My breasts are still very sore. I called my ob/gyn also and asked them what they thought about it and they said they had never heard of anybody having trouble like that with prednisone. I don't know understand why nobody sees the danger in this drug after all I have been reading online about it.
Did you taper the dose down to stop it? The way you've written it it sounds like you took the full 80 for a week. This disturbs me because you can't just stop prednisone like that.
No there were no directions from the doctor to taper the dosage. It simply said take 2 20mg tablets twice a day for 7 days.
What was your dr thinking? This is very harmful to you, karen is correct.
I have no idea what he was thinking. It was an ENT dr that prescribed this for sinus infection. I had never taken prednisone before so I had no idea about tapering... guess that's what I get for trusting the doctor knows what he's doing. So do any of you think this could be what has my breasts (nipples mostly) to be beyond sore?
